At last, the book that was almost never published is finally here...
Grimoire of Satan: The Covenants of Hell, by Oliver Bowes, was originally commissioned way back in June of 2013, and entered the Editing stage at the end of that month.
This is when we began to get reports of 'issues' that our Editor was experiencing, whilst working on the title.
We had to send the file on numerous occasions, as his mail client wouldn't receive it (it was eventually burned to Disk, and posted!).
Then our Editor's laptop broke down - twice - whilst working on the initial chapter, and he then had to take time out from the project, due to some serious health issues.
Several weeks ago, we heard from him, to say that - under no circumstances - would he be prepared to complete the work on the book, which he claimed was affecting him powerfully, on a personal level.
In what way he was struggling, we couldn't fully pin-down, as he simply refused to discuss the issue, and refunded his fee.
We had hoped to complete the editing (the book was only around 50% edited) in-house, but on making a start, it became quite obvious what our Editor had been referring to.
The Grimoire of Satan is a POWERFUL book - DARKLY powerful in the extreme, and very disturbing to even read; so much so, that we were personally seriously considering wiping all copies of the work, and forgetting about it totally.
After much soul-searching and serious consideration, we've finally come to a decision.
Whilst it's clear that the Editing work cannot be considered for completion (there's simply no way I could ask an Editor who's not already versed in this kind of material to look at it), I do feel strongly that destroying the work would - in many ways be a dis-service to the Author.
That being said, we have decided to release The Grimoire of Satan exactly as it stands now - as a complete work, but only half-edited. Frankly, this is the ONLY way this book is EVER going to see the light of day.
To that end, we'd like to thank all of Oliver Bowes' fans for being so patient with our delay on this title, and hope customers will understand our decision to release this book in an unfinalised form.
Buyers should be aware that this title is blatantly blasphemous, and the rites are specifically designed to evoke Satanic forces. Those of a nervous or unbalanced disposition SHOULD NOT use this title!
